ABOUT OTC
OTC, a QS-9000 certified plant, is a major manufacturer and supplier of
vehicle electronic diagnostic instruments, automotive fuel system maintenance
equipment, special service tools, general purpose tools, pullers, heavy
duty tools, shop equipment and hydraulic components. Located in Owatonna,
Minnesota, OTC was founded in 1925, and in 1985 was acquired by the SPX
Corporation, a multi-national company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina
(NYSE:SPW). Today, OTC is part of the SPX Service Solutions Group.
OTC markets its products through a global network of authorized aftermarket
distributors, and serves a large number of car, truck, agricultural implement,
construction and marine manufacturers on an OEM basis.
OTC has two manufacturing facilities in Owatonna, Minnesota, and operating
units in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. Its Eisenhower Drive facility
in Owatonna designs and manufactures special tools and shop equipment. The
Park Drive facility, also located in Owatonna, designs and manufactures
OTC's electronic diagnostic equipment. Overseas operating units include
OTC Tool GMBH, Langenfeld, Germany, V.L. Churchill, Daventry, England, and
JATEK, Tokyo, Japan.
